About
Intellicure, Inc. is a privately held, debt free company located in The Woodlands,
Texas. Intellicure’s Principals began work on the clinical documentation system
in early 1995 in response to the '1995 E&M Documentation Guidelines'
published by HCFA (currently
CMS). The Intellicure company was incorporated in 2000 by Dr. Caroline Fife and
David Walker, which marks Intellicure's 14th year in development and 9th year in
business.
Intellicure’s Clinical Documentation and Facility Management System is at heart
an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that provides an outcomes database as a dividend,
with no duplicate entry. Built on Intellicure's clinical data repository is a front-office
management system (scheduling, registration, patient check-out), an inventory system,
and an over-all clinic management reporting package (outcomes, length-of-stay, productivity,
inventory, costs, etc).
History
Our clinical documentation software got its start in 1995 at the University of Texas
Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Originally, it was named “ED Knows Wound
Care,” later WoundTrak™ and then eventually
IntelliTrak™. It was Dr. Caroline Fife’s
answer to the growing problem of inaccurate and time consuming method of paper charting.
HyperTrak™, our hyperbaric clinical documentation program, got its start at Texas A&M University, with Dr. William Fife and
David Walker , CHT in 1996. Intellicure brought the two systems together,
taking everyone's likes and dislikes from each program in late 2000, redesigning
the two packages into what you see today. At that point, development also began
for the Front Desk Manager,
Inventory Manager, and Clinic Management
systems. Those programs were all designed to answer questions specific to making
solid business decisions to facilitate the operation of Intellicure's numerous wound
care and hyperbaric medicine clinics.
Today
Today, the two clinics that Dr. Fife and Mr. Walker established each net over $1
million in profit annually for their parent organization.
We have unique, focused expertise in wound care and hyperbaric medicine to which
we have applied computer technology, rather than starting a technology company and
then trying to learn wound care.
