About
Work on IntelliTrak began in 1995 at Memorial-Hermann Hospital’s Center for Wound
Healing by Dr. Caroline Fife. It was designed to be an answer to long hours of dictation,
illegible handwritten notes, and impossibilities with billing, coding, and reimbursement.
Originally a stand-alone Electronic Documentation tool, today IntelliTrak is the
only Level 4 EMR, Electronic Medical Record, in the wound care field, complete with
integration into existing Hospital Information Systems via HL7. The Intellicure
Clinical Documentation System is a point-of-service patient charting system. Charting
is done in the examination room with the patient present and is complete when the
patient leaves the clinic. Staff no longer works overtime to finish charting at
the end of the day!
